Vision
Our desire is to develop a community of young worshippers who have a heart for the Lord, desire to grow in their musical gifts and can be available to help lead worship for children's ministry services and special events.
Who Can Participate in the Kids Praise Team (KPT)?
Currently, the Kids Praise Team is available for students grades 1st through 6th grade who have auditioned for the team and were accepted.
Junior Highers who attend Calvary Chapel Schools are also eligible for KPT and will be part of the team that leads worship for various Junior High Chapel services.
Praise Team Auditions
Auditions take place once a year at a time TBA. Current praise team members must re-audition with everyone else. This helps create opportunity for potential new team members who wish to join the team.

If your child does not make the team in their first audtition, we encourage them to keep practicing their instrument and audition again the next year. Worship Music Lessons with Golden Preciado are another excellent choice if your child wants to increase his/her musical skills. Golden teaches piano, guitar, bass and voice using the songs that are currently being used in the CCCM Kids Praise Team.
Worship Times
The Kids Praise Team leads worship on the 1st and 4th Sunday mornings of the month at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa for the 1st through the 6th worship time.
During the summer on occasion the Kids Praise Team is available for worship at J-Walk.
The Kids Praise Team leads worship for various special events that happen through the year as well, ie. youth camps, Open House at MCA, selected services in the main sanctuary, etc.
NOTE: We cannot change the schedule for one child should they choose to place a sports game or another event over the KPT worship time on the above mentioned 2 Sundays. That child will have to wait for the next round.
Rehearsal Scheule
The Kids Praise Team practices together twice a month 2 selected Fridays a month from 3:15-4:45 or 5p. Summer schedule TBA. Students are expected to practice on their own at home using the Band Practice Resources made available to them from this website.
Parents will be responsible to sign in children who are 1st and 2nd grade. The 3rd through 6th graders can sign themselves in to rehearsal. All parents/guardians are welcome to stay during rehearal.
Rehearsal Rules
Praise Team members who do not show up for rehearsal will not be on the schedule to lead worship for the next event. It's important that students and parents of young students sign in at rehearsal so they can be included in the next event's line up. If the worship leading schedule was set prior to the rehearsal but the student doesn't come to rehearsal, the student will be replaced with another child who attended the rehearsal.
Communication
All our communication is done by email and Facebook. It's very important that parents check their email often so they can be aware of praise team logistics and worship schedule.
It's important that Kids Praise Team Parents view the Calendar on a regular basis to see when their child is scheduled to lead worship with the team.
Suggested Donation
A suggested donation of $10 per child a month (or any amount that the Lord may lead you to give) is deeply appreciated. Neither CCCM or MCA covers the running cost of the program.
Together Ministries
The Kids Praise Team is a ministry of Together Ministries, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, founded by Michael and Golden Preciado. Together Ministries is an outreach of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa.
